Go Back. Move Ahead.

Making Returning to College Easier

Did you know that by 2025, more than 60 percent of jobs in Georgia will require some type of postsecondary degree? Currently, less than half of the state’s population is prepared to meet that need. But with Georgia’s public and technical colleges and universities, in partnership with the Georgia Student Finance Commission (GSFC), going back to college is now easier.

The goal of Go Back. Move Ahead. is to encourage the more than one million Georgians who have completed some college to return and finish their degrees. It is part of Governor Nathan Deal’s “Complete College Georgia” initiative that aims to raise college completion rates.

How much will it cost to go back to college? Is financial aid available? What programs are offered? Will earned college credits transfer? Does work experience count toward a degree or certificate? Through personal academic advisors, financial aid information and other resources, Go Back. Move Ahead. provides the answers to questions many people are looking for when returning to college.
