Georgia Student Finance Commission Partners with Georgia Colleges and Universities to Waive College Application Fees in March
ATLANTA – The Georgia Student Finance Commission has partnered with the University System of Georgia (USG), the Technical College System of Georgia (TSCG), and Georgia Military College to provide college application fee waivers at select schools during the month of March. This is the second round of fee waivers for students in the 2022 academic year and builds upon the success of “No Fee November” in 2021.
“Preparing for college takes a lot of dedication and work, and Marty and I are appreciative that the Georgia Student Finance Commission, the University System of Georgia, and the Technical College System of Georgia have joined together to support students in getting their applications submitted with this incentive,” said Governor Kemp. “As the parents of three daughters who have all pursued higher education, we know firsthand as a family what goes into college prep, and we will continue working to ensure our students and parents have every opportunity to succeed and pursue their education goals.”
Twenty USG institutions, Georgia Military College, and all twenty-two TSCG institutions have offered to waive application fees for Georgia high school seniors between March 1st and March 31st. Prospective TSCG students may use the code MARCH22 to waive the application fee at any TCSG college. Some USG schools automatically waive the fee in March, while others require a code to receive the waiver. The full list of participating schools and information on how to access the waiver may be found on GAfutures.
“While application fees may vary by institution, the cost savings to high school seniors taking advantage of these waivers can be significant. The Georgia Student Finance Commission applauds the efforts of our partner post-secondary institutions, and we have representatives ready to assist students with the application process, scholarship searches, and connections to resources,” said GSFC President Lynne Riley.
