REACH Georgia Celebrates 10th Anniversary

Georgians from across the state came together to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the REACH Georgia program.

REACH Georgia - 10 Year Celebration

Georgians from across the state came together to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the REACH Georgia program. REACH Georgia is the State of Georgia’s first need-based mentorship and college scholarship program.

The 10th Anniversary Celebration included House and Senate resolutions and a proclamation from Governor Brian Kemp recognizing February 10, 2022, as REACH Georgia Day.

Since its inception in 2012, the REACH Georgia program has expanded to include partnerships with all 180 Georgia school districts. Local school systems partner with REACH Georgia and identify academically promising, low-income eighth-grade students to receive REACH Georgia Scholarships.

These scholars are paired with a mentor, support, and an academic coach through their senior year of high school, with the goal of providing the students a pathway to graduate from high school, access college, and achieve postsecondary success. Upon graduation from high school, scholars are awarded up to a $10,000 scholarship to be used at a Georgia HOPE eligible two- or four-year college.

For more information about the REACH program, please visit www.reachga.org.
